Pediatric Dentist South Windsor

Healthy Smiles Pediatric Dentistry, P.C.

It takes a village to raise a child.  Healthy Smiles Pediatric Dentistry is a specialty dental practice that serves the children in our “villages” in and around South Windsor, CT.  We welcome children from infancy through adolescence, as well as individuals with Special Health Care Needs.  In accordance with the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the American Academy of Pediatrics, Healthy Smiles Pediatric Dentistry recommends your child’s first visit to the dentist to be no later than one year of age.  The philosophy behind such an early visit is that the earlier we can meet you and your child, the earlier we can emphasize prevention of dental disease.  For those children well past age one, a visit to the dentist every six months could allow us to individualize our approach to helping your child acquire or maintain healthy teeth and gums.  At Healthy Smiles Pediatric Dentistry, Dr. Anne Nghiem and her experienced staff will make every effort to provide you and your child with the skills and knowledge to obtain excellent oral health.  We encourage parent and child interactions with our team, as we believe that the more we understand your child, the greater we can be of service to your family.

Dr. Anne Nghiem is a pediatric dental specialist.  She grew up in the Midwest, graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago before attending Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, MA. After receiving her dental degree, Dr. Nghiem completed a one-year residency in the Advanced Education in General Dentistry from the University of Connecticut.  Thereafter, she attended the University of Iowa College of Dentistry, where she earned a certificate in Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Nghiem lives in Connecticut with her husband, their fluffy canine son and three amazing daughters. On her days off from work, Dr. Nghiem enjoys spending time with her family, watching her kids “conquer” the world, and sneaking in time to exercise or read a good book.

A village is made up of many individuals; people who work together to achieve goals for the good of all who live there.  We welcome you to join our “village” and to share in our efforts to engage your children in their quest for a lifetime of healthy smiles.

Why A Pediatric Dentist?

Has your child ever begged you not to leave the dentist? Impossible you say? Not at our office. It could be our gentle touch and special way with kids. Our pediatric specialists and staff love children and are specially trained to put them at ease. At Healthy Smiles Pediatric Dentistry, P.C., we teach your children the proper way to take care of their teeth and just as important, they learn that going to the dentist can be fun.
